Libraries Remember
Sunrise Commemoration
Words Matter
This will be the eighth year that the Bensenville Library has
observed Libraries Remember, and it will also be the eighth
year that we will host a sunrise commemoration. At 6:15 in
the morning each September 11, we gather in the Garden of
Knowledge, the magnificent garden behind the library, for an
hour of music and words as the sunlight gradually illuminates
first the trees and then the plantings in the garden.
The theme for this year's Libraries Remember is Words
Matter, and many of those who speak will address that
theme. In fact, though, anyone who cares to speak is
welcome, and anything they have to say is appropriate. If
you would like a spot on the agenda, please contact Jill
Rodriguez at 630-766-4642 at least a week in advance.
You may share your thoughts, sing a song, read a poem....
all voices are welcome.
If you would like to simply sit, listen, and share this moving
experience, the commemoration will begin promptly at 6:15
a.m., and it will last approximately one hour.
