Words Matter
This year's Libraries Remember will begin, as always, with a brief opening
ceremony and flag raising in front of the library. Following that, we are very pleased
to have with us the Max Clark Quintet. This talented Jazz and Latin Jazz group will
perform in the meeting room after the opening ceremony.
The musicians are led by Max Clark Wassinger, who started the group to bring more
live music to the Chicago suburbs. The quintet performs at a wide variety of events
including weddings, graduation parties, and grand openings.
Most members of the group have been involved in music programs such as Merit
School of Music in Chicago. They have performed at venues such as Orchestra Hall
in Chicago, 2006 Taste of Chicago, the Four Seasons Hotel, the Palmer House,
and the downtown Chicago Hilton.
